Reach

From soily roots
To stump
To sprig

And in the air
Parading ghosts
Upon a quilt of greys
They graze
Across the morning sky

But then love lights
First low and red
Then hissing rays
That lay upon the earth 
Like dew

Upon the sprig
Upon the stump
Upon those soily roots
